It was a surprise party and ....she was really surprised.
A few weeks ago my dad called us(kids) up and told us that he was throwing a party. Carolyn and Becki pitched in and made a it a great event.
As I looked around this party, I not only noticed the number of people who showed up(90+!) without much notice, but also the amazing group of friends that my parents have come across throughout their 45+ years together. From different walks of life and from different places, these people have shared the many ups and downs with my parents. In some cases, these were not people who see my parents often, yet they hold a deep and long-lasting love and respect for each other.
Like them, my wife and I are blessed to have such a wide range of friends with which we're able to share our time.
Happy Birthday, Granny! You're an amazing lady...and we love sharing our Tuesdays with you.
