Parenthood: A walk in the park.

After six wonderful days, we ventured out as a family of three. Tired...and tired of being stuck in our house, we packed up Ava Marie and her cool new stroller, etc and headed to the park. I even packed a lunch and we sat at a picnic table and just stared at each other. What a great time. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. We took a stroll for a bit, then packed up for home. Only gone for about an hour it was a wonderful time. On the way home we even showed our daughter the location of our 1st date and where I proposed to her mother. I swear she was so moved, young Ava started to cry.

There was one caveat to our adventure. A crazy squirrel, looking for some of our picnic scared us away from the picnic table. He climbed the tree over our table and to our surprise seemed to be trying to drop down from the tree and steal our turkey sandwiches...I shook my fist and raised my voice and off went the future pelt. Dads of the Future must be brave and willing to stand up and fight for the security of their families...so, called to duty, that is what I did.
